AgendasEach student will be equipped with an agenda ($2.50), which he or she will use to write down homework, information about upcoming tests, reminders, etc. The agenda will primarily be used as a communication tool between home and school. I ask that parents initial their child’s agenda every evening, as I will verify their agendas each morning. Feel free to also write down any concerns, comments, and inquiries in the agenda, as I will be checking them regularly. The key to this system is to develop a habit, wherein students are responsible for having someone sign their agenda every night – even if there is no homework. This way, parents know exactly what is expected.

French LanguageOne of my main expectations for my students is that they be able to speak and communicate strictly in French while in my classroom (and eventually outside of the classroom). I am aware that this may be an area of stress and anxiety for many students; however, I assure you that we will create a classroom community wherein students will be able to take risks comfortably and with the support of their peers. I am confident that we will grow and improve together, and that with a little motivation, your students will be able to progress toward bilingualism. It is my goal that all of my students be equipped with the tools to pursue French Immersion in secondary school, as bilingualism, in my experience, opens many doors later in life.
